Hester Street Fair’s Lobster and Beer, Corner of Hester and Essex streets – LES, 11am – 6pm

Hester Street Fair’s fourth Lobster and Beer event is happening over Labor Day Weekend.  The idea is simple: a lot of beer, great local vendors and the best lobster the city has to offer. Come out and grab a lobster roll before they’ve all been got, chug a $4 Old Blue Last, and come chill in the park for the last weekend of the summer!

Bryant Park Moves, Bryant Park Lawn – Midtown, 10am – 11am

These classes are led by former and current members of the internationally-renowned modern dance company, Limon Dance. Free.

Folk Music Jam, Brooklyn Bears Pacific Street Community Garden, Pacific Street and Flatbush Avenue – Brooklyn, 2pm – 5pm

Brooklyn Bears Community Garden is hosting a folk music jam on the first Saturday of the month from June to September. Bring your instrument and join, or just come and listen! All skill levels can join. The North Brooklyn BID will provide burgers and hot dogs, and Brooklyn Crepe and Juice will offer drinks.

Don headphones and party on the pier at this Quiet Clubbing  event featuring two live DJs spinning tunes of different genres. Switch DJs with a flick of a switch and sway along to the same song as your friends or tap to your own tune. Free.

A “Gangs of New York”-styled Macbeth, set in the mid-1800s when early settlers fought for turf in the infamous Five Points area. Watch this full production of the famous play, produced by the Drilling Company. Free.
