Explore and enhance your artistic abilities. Expand your skills with new techniques and mediums. Create intimate drawings of window views out of the historic H. Dance Away the Night, Highbridge Park – Washington Heights, 6pm – 8pm

Strictly Tango’s popular Tango class is coming to Highbridge! Join a celebration of Milonga, a fast paced version of Tango. Reenactment, BRIC – Brooklyn, 7pm – 9pm

Performances by Reenactment artists Maria Hupfield and Alicia Grullón, followed by a discussion moderated by Harry Weil, Manger of Programs at Green-Wood Cemetery. Electric Prop and Hum Freestyle Variations Studio is a twenty-minute performance piece by Hupfield, presented in collaboration with fellow BRICworkspace artist-in-residence, Tusia Dabrowska. The multi-media performance incorporates scored and un-scored movement, sound, and vocalizations to intervene in BRIC’s gallery. Free. RSVP.

Antigone in Parkchester, New York Public Library – Parkchester Branch, 11am – 1pm

Antigone in Parkchester is a free, interactive performance of scenes from Sophocles’ Antigone, an ancient play about a woman who decides to honor her brother and disobey the state, presented in English with Bengali interpretation. Each performance is followed by a powerful audience discussion in English and Bengali about gender equality, allyship, and justice. Free. RSVP.

Frank Conniff (TV’s Frank on Mystery Science Theater 3000) hosts a variety/stand-up show in the guise of a fake kid’s show. Frank hosts the show in character as Moodsy, the Clinically Depressed Owl, and shows a bunch of weird and crappy old cartoons between stand-up, music and sketches. $8.

The 30 Year Old Virgin is an hour of stand up told as one long story. Doyle grew up in a conservative Christian home and was saving himself for marriage.
