Head to the High Line for a walk along the park and a chance to take a closer look at the stars. Peer through high-powered telescopes provided by members of the Amateur Astronomers Association of New York to see rare celestial sights. Free.

Every Tuesday, Hudson River Park hosts a Salsa dancing night with some of NYC’s best DJs. Beginner Salsa dance lessons from 6:30pm – 7:15pm followed by a dance party. Free. RSVP.

Holiday Celebration: Concert and Tree Lighting, Marcus Garvey Park – Harlem, 5pm – 8:30pm

The tree lighting begins at 5pm with The Marching Cobras and Children singing Carols. Immediately afterward, the party moves indoors at Pelham Fritz Recreation Center with performances by Vy Higginsen’s Sing Harlem Choir and the One Accord Dance Ministry.
