Join host and local Astoria comic, Ryan Stanisz, as he challenges NYC’s best stand-ups to improvise their way through a presentation they’ve never seen before, on a topic that they’ve never even heard of before that night. $7.

Journey of Hope: The Irish in New York, Church of St. Brigid – East Village, 6:30pm – 8pm

This talk will take a multimedia look at the history and culture of the Irish of New York from their immigrant beginnings to the present day. Their journey is reflected in the shared experiences of immigrants from around the world coming to America. The lecture will be given by Tara Rider, the director of Stony Brook University’s international academic programs to both Ireland and England. Free.
