Read and discuss Scandinavian literature in translation as part of the Nordic Book Club. This month’s book is They Know Not What They Do by Jussi Valtonen. This psychological novel, set in the near future, focuses on a man struggling to protect his new family from violence. It was the winner of the 2014 Finlandia Prize, Finland’s highest literary honor. Get ready to create a stunning masterpiece! Participants will use glow dark paint to bring out their creativity on a blank canvas. The theme for the evening is Valentine’s Day.
