Washington Square Park Holiday Tree Lighting, Washington Square Park – Greenwich Village, 5pm – 7pm

A 45-foot Christmas tree just south of the Washington Square Arch will be lit for the holidays. To celebrate the occasion, the Rob Susman Brass Quartet will perform holiday songs. Santa Claus is also expected to appear, with candy canes in hand.

Not Far from Where We Were Before: Scenes and Songs from Lerner & Loewe, HB Studio – Greenwich Village, 7pm

HB Studio presents a celebration of the work of musical theater writers Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe. The performance includes scenes and songs from Lerner and Loewe’s most iconic musicals, such as My Fair Lady and Camelot, as well as earlier, lesser known works. Free.
