Washington Square Park Holiday Tree Lighting, Washington Square Park – Greenwich Village, 5pm – 7pm

A 45-foot Christmas tree just south of the Washington Square Arch will be lit for the holidays. To celebrate the occasion, the Rob Susman Brass Quartet will perform holiday songs. Santa Claus is also expected to appear, with candy canes in hand.

Dunces N’ Dragons, QED – Queens, 7:30pm – 9pm

Dunces N’ Dragons is a comedy show that puts comedians through D&D themed challenges. Performers roll a 20-sided die that decides their fate. Will they have to eat peppers as hot as a dragon’s breath? Next to Normal is a rock musical that follows mother Diana Goodman’s struggle with worsening bipolar disorder and its effect on her family as they search for a new normal. Tickets are a suggested donation of $10. All proceeds will go to the Mental Health Association of New York City.
