See the lighting of the world’s largest menorah at Grand Army Plaza in Manhattan. The menorah is 32 feet tall and weighs about 4,000 pounds. The lighting of the largest menorah in Brooklyn will happen at the same time. Free.

Interpretative Reading of Mark Twain’s ‘The War Prayer,’ Wave Hll (Bronx), 2pm – 3pm

Call & Response artist Kiran Chandra presents an interpretive reading of Mark Twain’s controversial 1905 text “The War Prayer.” When Samuel Clemens, better known by his pen name Mark Twain, was a resident in Wave Hill House at the beginning of the 20th century, he built a treehouse on the property. Chandra’s reading commemorates Twain’s tree structure and the writing he created at Wave Hill. Free with admission to the grounds. $8 for adults, $4 for children and seniors.

In Illo Tempore Vignettes is a performance of bodies suspended in time, revealing the echoes of memory, alienation, and exile. The performers parade through relentless streams of invisible stimuli in a voyage between presence and absence.
