Summer on the Hudson: Stargaze Saturdays, Pier I in Riverside Park South – UWS, 8pm – 11pm

The Amateur Astronomers Association and stargazing return to Riverside Park South. A summer evening in Manhattan is made complete with a great skyline and the stars, planets, and moon in full view. Free.

Bryant Park Shakespeare – A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Bryant Park Lawn, 7pm – 9pm

This event is a full production of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, produced by The Drilling Company. A familiar sight – a romantic Bryant Park wedding – develops into a modern-day twist on Shakespeare’s classic comedy, full of madcap revelry and literary fantasy. Free.

Get on your feet and move to the sounds of live American fiddle music. Swing your corner and do-si-do,

Silent Disco, Pier I in Riverside Park South – UWS, 5:30pm – 10:30pm

Don headphones and party on the pier with hundreds of all-ages revelers at this Quiet Clubbing event featuring two live DJs spinning tunes of different genres. Switch DJs with a flick of a switch and sway along to the same song as your friends or tap to your own tune. Free.

Fundamentals of Hip Hop with Robin Dunn, Pelham Fritz Recreation Center in Marcus Garvey Park – Harlem, 1:30pm – 3pm

In partnership with Harlem Dance Club, Pelham Fritz Recreation Center hosts a series of master classes given by professional instructors from Alvin Ailey.  Every Saturday afternoon, a different genre will be highlighted. Free.

Plein Air Landscape Painting Workshop, Billings Lawn in Fort Tryon Park – Inwood, 1pm – 3pm

Led by landscape artist, Elissa Gore, this free introductory watercolor painting class will focus on making small paintings using warm colors. The workshop will cover: planning a sketch, perspective, and basic watercolor techniques. No experience is required and all supplies will be provided. Free.
