Women’s March, Various location, 11am – 4pm

This is the official Women’s March in NYC hosted by Women’s March Alliance, the organizers of both the 2017 and 2018 Women’s March in NYC. The march starts on 72nd Street (on either Columbus or Central Park) and goes down along Central Park West. Free. RSVP.

The Schomburg Center’s 7th Annual Black Comic Book Festival, Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, 515 Malcolm X Boulevard – Harlem, 12pm – 8pm

Each year, the Schomburg’s Black Comic Book Festival brings creators, illustrators, writers, and independent publishers together with thousands of collectors, blerds and nerds. The event includes interactive panel discussions, a vendor marketplace featuring exclusive titles by Black creators, a cosplay show, and more. Free. RSVP.

Sketchbook Vol. 1, Sugarlift LIC, 43-01 22nd St, 2nd Floor, Suite 264 – Queens, 2pm – 6pm

Presented by Sugarlift and curator-in-residence Dina Brodsky, Sketchbook Vol. 1 is more than a show. It’s a rare chance to flip through masters’ sketchbooks yourself and see where art starts. Completed works by each artist, plus some large scale surprises, will also be on view. Visitors will have the opportunity to turn each page of the artists’ sketchbooks with gloves provided. Free.
