In 2015, two courageous, contemporary artists, pianist Simone Dinnerstein and choreographer Pam Tanowitz, came together to tackle a monumental artistic project, a New Work for Goldberg Variations. They were inspired by Bach, and they were also following in the legacy of Jerome Robbins. hey will share insights about their creative process and compare performance footage of their NW for GV with Robbins’ own Goldberg Variations. DO It All, Overlook (second floor of Skating Pavilion), Bryant Park – Midtown, 6:30pm – 7:30pm

This total body workout combines high and low impact cardio elements. The class is taught by instructors from Jane DO, a studio that empowers women to find their strength through fitness. Free. RSVP.

An Evening of Humorous Readings, The Gallery at LPR, Le Poisson Rouge, 158 Bleecker St – Greenwich Village, 7pm – 9:30pm

An Evening of Humorous Readings is a monthly show of literary humorists reading their most literary humor! We feature short humor pieces, like the kind you find on McSweeney’s or Shouts and Murmurs, read aloud by the people who wrote them. This month’s show features Ginny Hogan (Little Old Lady, The New Yorker, Cosmopolitan, McSweeney’s), Evan Waite (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, The President Show, Clickhole, The Onion, MAD Magazine) and Carrie Wittmer (New Erotica for Feminists, The Belladonna, McSweeney’s, The New Yorker).
