Skate Night, John Jay Park – UES, 4:30pm – 7:30pm

Dance and enjoy an outdoor roller skating night with a live DJ. Skates will be provided. Free. RSVP.

Accordion Festival, Bryant Park Stage in Bryant Park, 5pm – 10pm

Experience the wide range of this often-overlooked and little-known instrument at this special event, featuring Shashmaqam (Bukharian Jewish Music and Dance from Central Asia), Rhode Island-based João Cirilo Pilom Batuko Band (Funana and Batuko from Cape Verde), New York’s own Shilpa Ray (Indie rock on the harmonium), Italian superstars Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino (Pizzica Tarantata from Puglia), and all-women, sister act Rimel(Mexican Norteño). This is the finale of Accordions Around the World.

Bingo!, 125th Street and Marginal Street in West Harlem Piers, 5:30pm – 7:30pm

BYO food and beverages to this all ages, free to enter, B-I-N-G-O night. Music will play as the numbers roll out and each game winner receives a prize. Free.

Bryant Park Fencing, Fifth Avenue Terrace in Bryant Park, Fifth Avenue and 41st Street, 12:30pm – 1:30pm

Learn the basics with masters from Manhattan Fencing Center. Participants must be 16 or older to participate. Registration required at manhattanfencing.com . Free.

Herald Square Reading Room, Herald Square, 10am – 5:30pm

Enjoy free use of newspapers and magazines at outdoor Reading Rooms. Located both in Herald Square Park and Park East at One Penn Plaza, Reading Rooms are staffed with a coordinator for recommendations. Free.
