Puerto Rican Day Parade, Fifth Avenue, 11am

The Puerto Rican Day Parade will run along Fifth Avenue from 44 th Street to 79 th Street. This year’s event features former New York Yankees catcher Jorge Posada and actor Esai Morales. Free.

5th Brooklyn Synth Expo, Absurd Conclave, 360 Jefferson Street, Lower Level – Brooklyn, 10am – 5pm

The Brooklyn Synth Expo is an interactive display of synthesizers. Exhibitors include Moog Music. Korg, Yamaha and Roland. Free. RSVP.

Fairway Food Festival, The Armory, 216 Fort Washington Avenue – Washington Heights, 10am – 5pm

The Armory Track’s arena will host 100 different booths that will serve up a dazzling array of food options. Festival-goers can experience hundreds of tastings and chat with experts about the latest food trends. $5.

Scandinavian Music Festival Concert Series, Billings Lawn in Fort Tryon Park – Inwood, 2pm – 3:30pm

The Scandia Brass Quintet will perform their popular repertoire of contemporary and traditional compositions and arrangements, representing music from each of the five Scandinavian countries, including five national anthems. Free.

For National Children’s Day, Grand Bazaar NYC is organizing a family-friendly pop-up featuring unique and fun handmade baby and kids clothing, toys, skincare and great accessories form talented local artisans. There will also be rare vintage children’s books, toys, and more form independent dealers. Free.
