ISLAA Founder & President Ariel Aisiks will appear at Galeria Nara Roesler | New York for a special gallery talk on the occasion of Almir Mavignier: Privileged Form, the exhibition of 40 rare posters designed by the Brazilian artist Almir da Silva Mavignier. Free. RSVP.

Bryant Park Reading Room: Winter Poetry with YesYes Books, Kinokuniya Bookstore – Midtown, 6pm – 7:30pm

Contemporary award-winning poets present their most recent work. Kinokuniya Bookstore provides the warm, library-like environment, with shelves stuffed with books (available for purchase of course) where you’ll meet with other aficionados of poetry. Featuring poets Mahogany L. Browne, Caylin Capra-Thomas, Jamie Mortara, and Aziza Barnes. Free.

Stargazing, The High Line at 14th Street – Chelsea, 6:45pm – 9:30pm

Head to the High Line for a walk along the park and a chance to take a closer look at the stars. Peer through high-powered telescopes provided by members of the Amateur Astronomers Association of New York to see rare celestial sights. Free.
