pOliTiCs is the first public exhibition of paintings and sketches by One J. Lee, an architectural designer and painter based in South Korea. Lee is currently in pursuit of a second Master’s degree in Urban Design at Columbia University. The collection will focus on Lee’s works in their evolution from pursuit of free-range and free-form expression to a methodology for organizing and drawing relationships between ideologies, materials, culture, and theology in relation to urbanism and digitalization of architecture. Wikipedia Edit-a-thon on Women in Art, Asia Art Archive in America – Brooklyn, 2pm – 7pm

Join Asia Art Archive in America for a Wikipedia Edit-a-thon in collaboration with Asia Art Archive, Hong Kong. The Edit-a-thon supports participants interested in editing Wikipedia to improve its coverage of women in the arts in Asia, and is part of an ongoing effort to contribute to discussions about the representation of women in open source knowledge platforms. Xpressionville Art Show and Silent Auction, The Greg Jackson Center for Brownsville – Brooklyn, 6:30pm – 9pm

This exhibition by Brownsville artists seek to foster a dialogue about the challenges and opportunities of a NYC artist without the constraints and usual concerns of the art business. In addition to the art exhibition, the event will feature a silent auction, with the starting bid on most artwork at $$25. Free. RSVP.
