All Is Forgiven: A Non-Religious Comedy Show About Religion, QED – Queens, 7:30pm – 9pm

Want to confess? If not, how about hearing others do it? On a stage. Join some of New York’s best performers and storytellers for a comedy show about how belief runs deep in everyone’s lives. This show is not aimed at converting, convincing, or destroying, just relating. Whether it’s positive, negative, or somewhere in between (purgatory?) this is a show for anyone who wants some catharsis in a world where everything you do seems wrong. $10.

Playwrights’ Playground, WeWork Harlem, 7pm – 9pm

Selected playwrights submit 10-12 pages of a new work in the early stages of development. Actors are cast on the spot and perform a cold reading, followed by a moderated audience feedback session. In addition to serving the development of new work, these readings give audiences a sneak peek into how new plays are created. This month’s playwrights are Dacyl Acevedo, Shaneisha Dodson, Kit Yan, Simone Wolff and Christopher Marshall. Free. RSVP.
