Chinese New Year Celebration, Building P in Snug Harbor Cultural Center – Staten Island, Feb. 10 (Sat.), 2pm – 4:30pm

Welcome the Year of the Earth Dog with a Chinese New Year Celebration. Enjoy treats, tales, and traditional crafts as part of one of the biggest cultural celebrations in the world. Join the parade to the NY Chinese Scholar’s Garden and hear cymbals, drums, and pop-it firecrackers to scare off evil spirits. $10 for adults, $5 for children.

Icons in Their Own Right, Old Stone House in J.J. Byrne Playground – Brooklyn, 5pm – 8pm

Join the opening night of “Icons in their Own Right”, an art installation by Makeba “KEEBS” Rainey, which seeks to counter historic erasure, champion cultural representation, and reinforce identity and pride. Free.

BritPack Comedy Showcase, BDA Studios – Midtown, 7:30pm – 9:30pm

6 Pack @ Brit Pack is a monthly comedy showcase that features some of the hottest comedians in the comedy scene as you LOL over some free brew and light snacks with friends. A ticket gets you free beer and wine and snacks that will be served during the show.
