There will be treats, prizes, trainers, “pawdicures,” vendors, artists and a pet psychic. Free.

Brick Over Brooklyn Meet Up, Old Stone House in JJ Byrne Playground – Brooklyn, 12pm – 4pm

Join a community baking day at the Old Stone House. You’re encouraged to show up with a dish (or dishes) to cook, or just hang out and enjoy a conversation around the fire. The event starts with “Build Your Own Pizzas” at noon. Dough and fresh toppings provided. Come and assemble your own personal pizza, and bake it in a 900-degree brick oven. If you’re baking, a $5 donation is suggested. RSVP.

Join this unofficial after party FOR Japanese pop culture convention Anime NYC. There will be games (test your skills on Smash, Mario Kart 8 and Just Dance), karaoke and cosplay. Free. RSVP.

Make and Film Shadow Puppets, Wing on Wo (26 Mott St.) – LES, 5pm – 7pm

Learn to make your own shadow puppets, props and short films. The class will be taught by WOW Shadow Puppet Theater artist-in-residence Emily Mock. Your work may be included in a month-long window display at the WOW storefront. Free. First-come-first-served.
