Explore the bones of this national and New York City landmark through blueprints and photographs. Free.

CENTRAL PARK TOUR OF THE RAMBLE, Belvedere Castle (around 79th Street), 11am – 12:30pm

Take a guided tour of the Central Park woodland known as the Ramble. Tour starts at Belvedere Castle and ends at Oak Bridge between 77th and 78th Street. Free.

FREE ADMISSION ROLLER SKATING, Brooklyn Bridge Park Roller Rink, 3pm – 6pm

Free admission. Skate rental for $6.

FEMINIST SELF PUBLISHING ZINE WORKSHOP, Flux Factory (Queens), 4pm – 6pm

Learn to make your own feminist zine at this Long Island City art venue. Workshop to be led by Microeditorial Amistad and graphic designer Cayla Lockwood. Free.

BRYANT PARK SPELLING BEE, Bryant Park, 6pm – 8 pm

The Bryant Park Spelling Bee is back for its third year. Must be 21+ to participate. Music by DJ Flip Bundlez. Free.

MET OPERA OPENING NIGHT IN TIMES SQUARE, Times Square, 6pm – 9:15pm

The Metropolitan Opera kicks off its 2017-2018 season by broadcasting the opening night performance of Bellini’s Norma to giant screens in Times Square. Free seating for more than 2,000 on a first-come, first-served basis.
